Mark your calendar and begin training for the Family Enrichment Center's 8th Annual MUD HAPPENS- ONE BAD MUD RUN to be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019. Funds from this event support child abuse prevention services in South Central Kentucky.
The MUD HAPPENS - ONE BAD MUD RUN is a 3-mile run featuring built obstacles and muddy areas where contestants slip, slide, and slosh their way to the finish. Sign up as an individual or grab a TEAM of 4 or more (and receive a discounted price!). The course is designed for ages 10 and up; children 10-12 years of age MUST be accompanied by a PAID adult participant. Competitive Heats are at 8:00 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. and will be limited to 50 runners per heat. Regular heats will start at 8:30 a.m. and run every 15 minutes until 11:00 a.m.
**NEW THIS YEAR** The last heat of the day (11:00 a.m.) will be the MUD PUPPY! Bring your 4 legged best-buddy and run the course together! All dogs MUST be kept on their leash at all times.
The Kids Muddy Challenge is FREE and consists of small obstacles and activities for children 9 and under only. Parents should not leave children unattended at the Kids Muddy Challenge and will need to sign a waiver before children will be permitted to participate.
