Saša and Jake are well known around the Bowling Green restaurant scene, together owning The Bistro, Novo Dolce, Pub by Novo and their newest adventure, Burger & Bowl coming soon to Fairview Avenue.

The Bistro opened its doors in 2007 on Russellville Road and eventually expanded and moved to its downtown location in November 2008. Novo Dolce has been open since 2014 and its Next Door expansion occurred in 2015. They added a similar new restaurant on Scottsville Road, Pub by Novo shortly after in November 2016. The duo is currently working on their newest adventure, Burger & Bowl, which will be opening its doors in July/August 2019 in the Icon Building on Fairview Avenue.

Jake worked at the Bowling Green Country Club and the Holiday Inn Plaza before moving to Florida to earn his MBA at Florida Atlantic. After grad school and moving around, Jake and his wife settled back in and made Bowling Green their home again.

Saša began working towards his culinary career in his early twenties. Saša’s first restaurant job was in downtown Bowling Green as a dishwasher at the Brickyard and gained experience for his future in each of his positions. Saša and his wife live in Bowling Green with their two small children.

Saša enjoys shocking people with unique experiences with the right culinary approach to normal every day food. Jake and Saša are proud that each of their businesses provide made from scratch recipes with fresh ingredients delivered daily. Their new restaurant, Burger & Bowl will follow that concept while providing a totally new experience for Bowling Green restaurant goers. It will offer gourmet 100% Angus Beef burgers, fast, in a casual setting, as well as signature bowls and salads. This convenient location will provide the community with a drive thru of delicious healthy options and will also be a technology enabled restaurant, meaning customers will use smart ordering to order their food directly from a device. The two are excited to also introduce gourmet coffee at this location.
