Southern Living Names Bowling Green One of the South's Best Cities on the Rise 2022



Southern Living, the ultimate insiders’ guide to Southern culture, recipes, travel, and events, names Bowling Green, KY as one of the South’s Best Cities on the Rise for 2022.

The prestigious media outlet’s accolade awarded to Bowling Green, KY encourages travelers to visit the ‘up-and-coming’ city. The feature stated, “Even in the aftermath of a historic weather system that devastated the Bowling Green area at the end of 2021, this Kentucky city is still rising... Showcasing the Southern spirit and generosity that has always been at the core of this community.” The publication names Bowling Green, KY amongst many other top tourist destinations like Fort Myers, FL and Raleigh, NC.

The Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau work with national publications to garner positive media attention for the local community. The local CVB garnered 56 national media placements for the city, county and surrounding region in 2021 resulting in a reach of 50 billion.

The Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is the official destination marketing organization for Bowling Green and Warren County. Their mission is to promote and develop the region as a welcoming destination for leisure and business travelers to generate a positive economic impact to the community.
