Med Center Health Foundation hosted their 20th annual Charity Ball, “The Emerald Ball” on Saturday, November 9th, at Sloan Convention Center. The Charity Ball has raised over $4.2 million to support healthcare initiatives in South Central Kentucky over the past 20 years.

Danielle Bowen is a graduate of Bowling Green High School who returned to her ‘Purples’ roots to teach 1st grade at T.C. Cherry Elementary after completing her studies at Western Kentucky University. Bowen has been at T.C. Cherry for six years now and loves being there.

LifeWorks for Autism has named Joanie O’Bryan to the newly created role of Development Officer. O’Bryan will play a pivotal role in cultivating partnerships with businesses and individuals to secure financial support for LifeWorks and the Bridge to Independence Scholarship Fund.

Visit BGKY Receives High Honors at Statewide Tourism Conference

Visitors Bureau (Visit BGKY) proved the bureau is not just green, but bronze, silver and gold. Visit BGKY earned one gold, eight silver and 10 bronze awards for projects related to tourism from the Kentucky Travel Industry Association, which represents 900 members across the commonwealth.
